Yes! While doulas do encourage breastfeeding (and are hopeful you’ll give it a try if you’re able), there are a plethora of reasons that people don’t breastfeed. You know yourself better than anyone, and I’m here to work with you regardless of your feeding preference.
For bottle and formula feeding, I can provide guidance on formula preparation, proper feeding techniques, and help parents establish a feeding routine. They can also offer emotional support and troubleshoot common issues that arise with bottle feeding.

It is best to schedule your consultation in the 2nd our 3rd trimester to allow time for us to establish a relationship before the birth, discuss your needs and expectations for postpartum support, and develop a postpartum plan.
The program is 6 weeks of in-person support paired with 6 months of virtual support & quick, as-needed visits. If you’d like your support to extend beyond 6 weeks we can add hours at your request.
Yes! Postpartum depression (PPD) impacts 1 in 7 moms. Postpartum doulas are not licensed therapists or medical professionals, but we are highly skilled in watching for signs of depression and anxiety and providing emotional support. If I suspect that you are at risk for PPD I’ll connect you and your family with local, appropriate resources for postpartum depression and support you along the way to make sure you get the help you need.
A postpartum doula provides support to new parents during the postpartum period, while a night nurse focuses solely on the baby's needs during overnight hours. A nanny provides full-time childcare after the postpartum period. Families can choose the type of support that best meets their needs during this important time of adjustment and growth.
